Jack O’Neill Jr. moves his family from New York City, where he managed Aeolian Piano Company on 5th Avenue, to Baton Rouge. He opens O’Neill’s Music near Eugene & Florida St.

As business thrives, O’Neill’s relocates to Dalton’s Dept. Store on 3rd Street and becomes a Kimball Piano dealer.

Jack Jr. falls ill. His son, Jack III, moves from New York, where he was pursuing a singing career, and relocates the store to a larger space on Florida Blvd.

Founder Jack O’Neill Jr. passes away. Jack III takes over and becomes an official Yamaha dealer.

With rapid growth, O’Neill’s moves to its current South Baton Rouge location. Jack III’s son, Raph, joins the business, marking the third generation of O’Neill’s Music.

Despite an economic downturn that forces many competitors to close, O’Neill’s secures two of the best piano brands: Yamaha & Baldwin.

O’Neill’s sells its first digital piano, embracing the future of piano technology.

Hosts the largest piano sale in Louisiana history and becomes the top piano retailer in Baton Rouge.

Launches the LSU School of Music Piano Loan Program, now the largest piano loan program in Louisiana.

Begins selling handcrafted European pianos, including the prestigious Schimmel brand.

Places a 9' Yamaha Concert Grand at the Manship Theatre inside the Shaw Center, strengthening O’Neill’s commitment to providing world-class pianos to the community.

Jack III semi-retires, and Raph O’Neill takes over daily operations, continuing the family’s legacy of bringing quality pianos and expert service to the community.
